Since then, the custom of wagashi Japanese sweets became popular among Japanese people during different eras such as the Edo era. People believed that if they bought 16 kinds of wagashi sweets, they would have good luck. During this day, you will find the cogon grass ring (\u8305\u306e\u8f2a Chinowa) in the shrine. People will pass through the cogon grass ring to\u00a0 cleanse the injuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wagashi is a traditional Japanese sweet that you can feel the seasonal change in a year. You can find different representative wagashi of each month. On the day of Natsukoshi Harae, it is customary to eat Japanese wagashi sweets called Minazuki (\u6c34\u7121\u6708 &#8211; Minazuki was the ancient name of June in Japanese lunar calendar) to pray for peace and good luck in the second half of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/eM8oxFo8UIM9yNNMeWMXbra35pKjnPbAikSVPYKUDEAOJ974zLErUHpM8X-9OVx8lZnIlfLBQR8iEPxW5VouX12sUmUYfwZ4w5nvAP2HNwWWngqvRg-i7NiZzqmBo4zB19NLt5-h\" alt=\"\" width=\"402\" height=\"267\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find adzuki beans on the top of Minazuki wagashi sweets. Adzuki beans or anko sweet red bean paste is one of the classic ingredients for Japanese sweets.
